Thursday's Journal Entry

WHO DID AMIR HAVE TO FIGHT IN ORDER TO GET SOHRAB?

To me the question is who beat up amir badly. The answer to that question will be Assef he was a part of the Taliban now. Amir got beat up pretty bad and when i say pretty bad i mean that Assef put him in the hospital. He had to fight Assef because Assef wanted to get him back for calling him One-eyed Assef. Assef wanted to fight Amir because in his time of need hassan pulled out a slinghot to protect, but since hassan wasn't with him he can Amir one on one.

Tuesday's Journal Entry

What is your reaction to Rahim Khan's letter to Amir? Should the letter have to him earlier? Do you feel that BaBa was a good man?

My reaction was shocking because Rahim just left and he said he wanted to die alone. Rahim pretty much left every dime of his money to Amir. That was very generous of him but messed up because nobody can find him and he doesn't want nobody to come looking for him. No I don't think that it should have been delivered earlier to me its like whenever it gets there then it gets there. Yes i do think he is a good man now I understand why he was so hard on him he was just angry because he couldn't love Hassan like he loved Amir.

Monday's journal entry

In chapters 21-22 the cruelty of the taliban is clearly in evidence. Give 2-3 examples.

One example of cruelty is when Farid and Amir rolled by Khyber Resturant where baba took him for kabobs. Amir saw a dead body hanging, dangling from the end of a rope tied to a beam. It was like nobody saw it or even cared. At the stadium the Talibans took the time to dig holes in the ground by the goalpost, put a man who is calm like he accepted it a woman kicking and screaming in those holes. Then a man comes out of a truck pick up a rock and throws a baseball pitch and struck the man in the side of the head. He threw every stone at that man and when he was done the blindfolded man wase bloody

The Journal Entry

"A boy who won't stand up for himself becomes a man who can't stand up to anything"

What I think the quote mean is that if you can't stand up for yourself when you are little boy then you won't stand for himself when he grown. When they aren't standing up for themselves they won't stand up for loved ones. They won't stand up for material things or nothing at all. The person that doesn't stand up for them self then the are soft. That's in my opinion though so now disrespect. He didn't wanna go to kubul to pick up the sad little Sohrab so mean and so disrespectful

Afghans abhor custom but cherish rules. I think it means even though they hate the customs you got to love the rules of them so much you can't give up
